The Programme is administratively and operationally coordinated by the Regional Executing Agency (REA) managed by Farmahem and mandated by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation – SDC, Global Programme Claimate Change and Environment. The role of REA as facilitator and coordinator is to lead the management of the Programme, including operational planning, monitoring and evaluation of activities as well as reporting to SDC. One of its main roles is to coordinate project activities with national, regional and international/Swiss partners in accordance with a facilitative/systemic approach. Furthermore, REA will monitor progress at different levels, aggregate and coordinate a regional knowledge exchange and learning between partners. REA will compile regular operational reports in accordance with SDC contractual requirements, including presentation to the Advisory Board/Steering Committee. Moreover, REA provides technical support and capacity building to project partners as per needs and in coordination with Farmahem and Helvetas backstopping services.
